What to expect
Your adventure begins one hour before the sun rises. When you arrive at the launch site, Kevin and the crew will prep the balloon for cold inflation and safety checks. Once the balloon is fully cold inflated and the safety checklist is complete, the burners will be lit and the balloon will rise up to its full standing position as it is filled with hot air. Then it's time for you to climb in the basket and receive a final pre-flight briefing before launching into an adventure of a lifetime! The thrill of take-off is soon replaced by the peacefulness of floating with the wind that calmly surrounds you. The serenity will put your mind at ease so you focus on the natural beauty all around. Throughout the flight, we will point out interesting landmarks and wildlife such as rabbits, deer, big horn sheep fox and coyotes that you may have the pleasure of spying from above. The crew will be following on the ground and taking pictures of your flight which are included with your flight fee. Once you have landed, you'll enjoy a delicious continental brunch and be regaled with a champagne toast.
What to Wear
Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dusty - jeans and sneakers are a great choice. Open toed shoes and high heels are not allowed. Long hair should be tied back or worn under a hat. Be sure to dress for early morning temperatures and "layer" so you can stay comfortable as the day warms up. Hats and sunglasses are recommended.
How many people
We have a 4 person balloon and an 8 passenger balloon. Depending on how many people we have booked for a certain day (and their total weight) you will ride in one of these two balloons. Exclusive private flights are available for an additional fee.
